Burscough Diving Club is an ASA Swim21 affiliated diving club based in Burscough, West Lancashire, which provides both a competitive or recreational pathway for divers of all levels from the age of 5.
Our aim is to inspire all members to continuously develop their skills and maximise their potential, ensuring they get the most from the sport based on their ability, time and commitment.
Formed in 2013, under the name Diving4Fun, the club formally registered with the ASA in 2015 and changed its name to Burscough Diving Club. The club is also known as Burscough Diving4Fun (BD4F) by some of the club members, who wished to retain the original Diving4Fun name.
The main training venue is Nye Bevan swimming pool, while we also have dryand facilities at St Bede’s High School and Glenburn Sports School.
Our diving coach has been involved in the sport for over 30 years as an International Diver & FINA Judge. He is accredited by both the ASA & British Gymnastics for diving, dryland & trampoline coaching.
ASA diving programmes are delivered by the club, which open the sport of diving to anyone who is interested. Members can choose between a competitive or recreational pathway depending on their own personal preference.
A competitive pathway will place a strong emphasis on competitive success, personal achievement & excellence. The recreational pathway will develop the fundamentals of diving, but without the pressure of a competitive environment.
